From 5 to 7 May 2025, the École des Hautes Études en Santé Publique (EHESP) and its subsidiary EHESP-International were pleased to welcome a delegation from the DRC Ministry of Health, comprising the Inspector General of Health of DRC and representatives of his team, the Director of Hospitals of DRC, and representatives of the Kinshasa School of Public Health (ESPK), as part of a study visit. This visit is part of a broader cooperation project aiming to strengthen the capacities of health inspectors and hospital directors in DRC.
Several experts from EHESP and the EHESP-International network came together to share their knowledge and discuss with the delegation possible developments in health inspection methods and techniques, and the management of hospitals, particularly in terms of quality, governance, crisis management and finance. We would like to extend our special thanks to Momar Faye, Dr Jean-Philippe Naboulet, Christophe Van Der Linde, Dr Pascal Jarno, Dr Christine Ortmans, Anne-Laure Nozahic-Péan, Dr Anne Le Gagne, Bertrand Vigneron, Nathalie Giovanicci, and the quality team of Rennes University Hospital.
Funding is currently being sought to continue and develop the continuing education programme initiated for health inspectors and hospital directors in DRC.
